Stately cdv of photographer Mr. Butler proudly displaying his new lens.  He is a very distinguished English gentleman and, according to the back mark, hales from 9 St. Mary’s Butts and 87 Broad St., Reading.  We have to say the location of his studio is quite unique and would be the butt of many jokes today if this was in the US.  This thoroughfare, however, is still in Reading today.  The image is in excellent condition with lovely tones and contrast.
